A slow, solitary rosette of chalky blue-green leaves, each edged with a thin red margin and a finer yellow line inside it, ending in a sharp red spine. Sold in some catalogs as Agave 'Blue Glow'. Symmetrical enough to carry a pot on its own. Handle by the pot rather than the leaves; the terminal spines are genuinely sharp.
Plant in regular potting soil amended with sand (perlite works as well). Water weekly in summer in full sun. Less in winter. Pot with other succulents for a complete arrangement.
