Resilient Roots Kits

a recipe for success

Growing in the high-altitude Colorado foothills means working with the conditions to make them the best we can for our plants. We don't plant without these key additions. This Resilient Roots Recipe we think is an important step towards increasing plant vigor. Plus, adding a Resilient Roots Kit at the time of plant purchase extends the warranty.

Consider this like adding the life to the party.

Mycorrhizae

Beneficial fungi for robust root growth.

Adding mycorrhize to the soil has been shown to increase the rate root hair growth thus increasing a plants ability to take in water, oxygen and nutrients.

Biochar

An ancient discovery next to the Nile leads to the future of thriving plants.

Rigid and highly porous, biochar acts like a sponge, retaining water, storing nutrients, providing aeration and helping to prevent compaction. These tiny “soil reefs” become home to billions of beneficial microorganisms and encourage microbial diversity in the soil. Biochar also lasts forever, prolonging soil fertility, improving resilience and sequestering atmospheric carbon. It's also excellent for rehydrating garden soils that have become hydrophobic from periods of drought.

Simply put, activated Biochar is one of the best structural, soil amendments available.

Coco Mulch

Cool root and retain soil moisture

Coco coir is a finely textured byproduct of coconut farming. Using it as mulch is a more sustainable and effective product than traditional wood byproduct mulches. It also easily breaks down overtime to incorporate into a healthy soil matrix.
